I’m so glad you’re here and joining us on this wild ride.

Hi, we’re the Hoofnagles - but most call us the Hoofs. Join our wild bunch as we embark on our biggest adventure yet and pick up our life to move to ITALY!

Here you’ll hear mostly from me - Shannon, or mom. But you’ll see and get to know my husband, Brenden and our three kids: James (4), Jack (2) and Alden (1).

In hopes of capturing this new chapter of our lives, this blog was born somewhere between anticipation of Army orders and the stark realization that we’re moving, yes, but also.. We’re moving ABROAD!

This homebody mama is feeling it! (And yes, I know I married an Army guy, which means homebody isn’t really a thing anymore - I’m still coming to terms with it).

This is our space to capture it all. You’ll find us packing boxes; navigating the ‘clear-as-mud’ Army process; chasing three young kids through life and airports; and all the in-betweens. Including the bedtime chaos, jet lagged cuddles, and the magical way “home” somehow follows you wherever your people are.

If we’ve learned anything, it’s that adventure doesn’t always look like perfectly planned itineraries or picture-perfect days. Sometimes it looks like snacks spilled in car seats, missed naps, and finding joy anyway.
